Breyer Consults with Mayor of Kingston around Social Value

11 February 2025

Mayor of Kingston, Liz Green invited Breyer to join her to discuss ways that we could provide additional social value to the borough, alongside the property improvement works taking place.

Breyer’s Head of Partnerships, Dean Van Woerkom and Head of Social Value & Communities, Liz Obertelli, met with the mayor last week with the aim of gaining a better understanding of the charities in Kingston that need support. The trio discussed sponsorships and how they might benefit these charities, as well as year-round volunteering opportunities designed to maximise impact for residents.

Liz Obertelli commented about the meeting:

“Meeting with Mayor Liz Green was incredibly worthwhile. We built a great bond and gained a much better understanding of how to collaborate and deliver social value in the area, with a view to leaving a lasting legacy in the community. Among other things, we are now looking at providing funding for a number of events and initiatives.”

Mayor Liz Green said:

“It was really lovely to meet with Dean and Liz to discuss the social value Breyer could help bring to Kingston upon Thames. I’m delighted that they are now exploring funding for events and initiatives that would help to support The Mayor’s Charitable Trust, which is supporting my chosen charity Habitats and Heritage this year.”
