Breyer Renew has started breaking ground at Linacre Court for London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, with a view to building a new community centre that will help to reduce isolation, as well as provide additional resources for local residents.
The new community facility forms part of a wider programme of improvements, which will see the high-rise Linacre Court apartment block given a face lift. The £1.76m works will include external and internal wall repairs; windows and balcony doors replacement; overhaul of drainage and rainwater elements; and external cable management.
Breyer Contracts Manager for this project, Adrian Fisher commented:
“The improvements we’re carrying out at Linacre Court should greatly improve the look and feel of the residents’ homes. Not only will each property be in better condition as a result of our works but they will also be better insulated, which means residents’ energy bills should lower over time too. The community hall is going to make an equally big impact though as it will provide residents with a space for socialising and for a range of activities. It’s a real privilege to be a part of this really worthwhile project.”
