We are excited to share that Breyer is taking on 4 new permanent staff as a result of last year’s recruitment and training pilot programme with the Construction Skills Consortium (CSC) supported by the Cross Industry Construction Apprenticeship Taskforce (CCATF).
- Nicola George now has a permanent role with Breyer as an RLO.
- Katie Emmins has started work as an IT Apprentice.
- Mario Molla is currently working towards becoming a permanent laborer.
- Joseph Morse will soon be a permanent employee working as a CSA.
One of Breyer’s Administrators mentored Joseph Morse during his work placement with us, which formed part of the CSCprogramme. By shadowing the Administrator, Joseph was able to gain a rudimental understanding of the job before gradually being given access to the system and learning operational processes firsthand.
Joseph said of his time with Breyer:
“I’ve found the experience quite seamless, in what can obviously be a bit of a daunting experience, as you meet new people and experience uncertainty around what is needed from you. Everyone has made me feel very welcome and reassured me that I’m doing well, which helps a lot. All the staff have made the experience a pleasant one. I’m definitely pleased with how everything has turned out.”
One of Breyer’s Senior RLOs mentored Nicola during her time with Breyer, providing her with excellent support and guidance. The mentoring process helped her to feel comfortable at Breyer every step of the way and gave Nicola the confidence to ask any queries.
Nicola said of her time with Breyer that “It was better than great.” This is Nicola’s first full-time job since having children, during which time she worked part-time, so she was initially quite nervous. However, Breyer worked with Nicola to ensure she felt completely at home and, in her own words, ‘like she has been here for years’.
Welcome to our new full-time team members!
