Great to see Breyer leading the conversation on resourcing the construction industry and meeting the skills gap at the Echelon Conference last week.
Our Head of Social Value and Communities, Liz Obertelli presented alongside Chris Selby (Head of Marketing for the Cross Industry Construction Apprenticeship Taskforce) at the Conference. Together, they shared their vision for the recently launched skills initiative and its ground-breaking approach to engaging talent with organisations across the property and wider construction sector.
The collaborative new engagement programme will offer a responsible way forward for talent acquisition in the industry with individuals being mentored through training and work placements to ensure they ultimately secure a job that suits their skills and interests. While every individual will be fully supported through the process, organisations will also benefit from a lower risk with onboarding costs and talent loss.
Breyer is helping to drive the pilot forward for this initiative, which is already oversubscribed with talent. The enthusiastic response is encouraging for the ongoing success of the programme as we look to roll it out across other areas and with a wider pool of organisations.
