Our Renew team has just secured first place on Lot 2 of a Rooftop Development Framework with Watford Community Housing Trust who engaged Echelon Consultancy Limited to support the tender process with Pretium Frameworks Limited acting as the Framework Manager.
The four-year, multi-lot Framework valued between £200m and £605m over the 4 years, will see contractors create additional homes on top of existing low-rise developments. Those on Lot 1 will be responsible for designing, manufacturing and installing the superstructure, while Lot 2 companies will then deliver all works required to make the new rooftop units habitable.
John Walsh, Director for Breyer Renew, comments:
“We’re really pleased to have secured first place on Lot 2 of this Framework. Innovative thinking around how to create new homes is going to be more and more important as housing providers look to carve out space to meet the growing need for supported housing. Rooftop developments offer a sustainable solution to this challenge, and we look forward to being a leading part of that solution.”
