Social Value
As well as improving homes and communities, we are driven to empower and enrich lives through bespoke initiatives that meet the needs of the residents and communities with whom we work.
As part of this focus, we are founding partner of the Construction Skills Consortium, which is a government-funded initiative, designed to support disadvantaged individuals with the training and employment opportunities required to secure a role within our industry. We have also established a Construction Academy, which supports young people and others through mentoring, careers in construction advice and 8-week work experience programmes, including CSCS, Asbestos Awareness and other training.
We are equally passionate about providing apprenticeships wherever possible across both trade and office-based roles, mentoring individuals beyond the placement itself and well into employment, whether that is with Breyer or another firm. Our investment in people also reaches into digital literacy.Â
Through a joint partnership between the Breyer Foundation and Positive Transformation Initiative (PTI), we provide local groups with IT equipment and training, as well as offer individuals the opportunity to become Digital Champions. They, in turn, are enabled to support others in their community through advice and localised training.
