Purpose-driven
Whether we are improving residential properties, sheltered homes or void premises, we work closely with our clients and act as an extension of their teams, in order to meet their KPIs and offer tailored solutions. We are committed to delivering a reliably excellent service right from the outset, which is why we have a team of Pre-Construction Building Surveyors. They are responsible for ensuring all works comply with current legislation, securing any consents or permissions required, as well as providing technical and professional advice for clients and site staff.
Often residents will be in a property while we deliver our services. This is particularly the case during ongoing maintenance-driven cyclical works and planned refurbishment, such as the replacement of kitchens and bathrooms, electrical rewiring or re-decoration. Under these circumstances, our friendly and considerate operatives are not only trained to deliver high quality works but also to ensure minimal disruption for residents and their neighbours. This is perhaps even more important in the case of Sheltered Homes where we will follow strict policies and procedures to ensure residents feel at ease while we improve their living conditions.
By contrast, void works carry a very different set of challenges, which is why our approach here is to incorporate plans for preventing the exploitation of empty premises for anti-social behaviour. We also work hard to reinstate vacant homes to Decent Homes standard or better within 3-20 business days where possible, enabling our clients to quickly re-let these units and reduce homelessness within the local area.
Our retrofitting works require different specialist experience again, which is why we directly employ the necessary expertise in design, supply, installation, operation, maintenance and monitoring of energy efficiency solutions. Working closely with our clients, we ensure the best quality service for the greatest improvement in sustainability and energy performance.
Resident-focused
Wherever residents are involved, so too are Breyer’s own dedicated Resident Liaison Officers (RLOs). Resident satisfaction is at the forefront of what we do. So, during the pre-construction phase, our RLOs will carry out Resident Profiling Surveys to identify individual needs such as working hours, language issues, vulnerability or disability so that we can tailor our works accordingly. RLOs also act as a friendly point of contact throughout the programme of works offering on-going updates and responding to any questions or concerns. They will even visit each property at the completion of works to inspect it and ensure everything has been carried out to an excellent standard.
